 Track 1: Clinical cardiology

Cardiology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the heart be it human or animal. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology. Physicians who specialize in this field of medicine are called cardiologists, a specialty of internal medicine. Pediatric cardiologists are pediatricians who specialize in cardiology. Physicians who specialize in cardiac surgery are called cardiothoracic surgeons or cardiac surgeons, a specialty of general surgery. Clinical Cardiology is an American journal about Cardiology founded in 1978. It provides a forum for the coordination of clinical research in diagnostics, cardiovascular medicine and cardiovascular surgery.

Track 2: Heart Disease

Heart Disease is a major cause of disability and premature death throughout the world. The underlying pathology is atherosclerosis, which develops over many years and is usually advanced by the time symptoms occur, generally in middle age. Acute coronary events (heart attacks) and cerebrovascular events (strokes) frequently occur suddenly, and are often fatal before medical care can be given. Heart Conferences promotes awareness against Risk factor modification which reduces clinical events and premature death in people with established cardiovascular disease as well as in those who are at high cardiovascular risk due to one or more risk factors.

Track 3: Women and Heart disease:

Studies have been revealed that every 1 out of 3 women in U.S are exposed to a heart disease that is approximately 1 woman per minute. It is also stated that women with diabetes have higher CVD mortality rates than men with diabetes. Women who are all taking g physical activity for less than 2 hours are considered to have more risk for coronary artery disease. Coronary microvascular disease (MVD) and broken heart syndrome are the two heart diseases that affect women more than men. Wherein, MVD is caused due to tiny arteries and Broken Heart syndrome is caused due to emotional stress leading muscle failure. Go Red for Women is a major international awareness campaign dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and control of heart disease and stroke in women.

Track 4 : Hypertension

Blood from heart and lungs is carries by pulmonary arteries. Increased blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries and the right side of the heart is called pulmonary hypertension. Genetic predisposition is one the cause for pulmonary hypertension. General symptoms include tiredness, shortness of breath when physically active, chest pressure or pain, swelling in the extremities, even in legs and ankles, dizziness, fainting, racing pulse. The disease can be diagnosed by echocardiogram. Unfortunately treating of this disease is very difficult. Medications include calcium channel blockers, endothelin receptor antagonists, and vasodilators.

Track 5 : Obesity & Heart

People with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher are considered obese. The term obesity is used to describe the health condition of anyone significantly above his or her ideal healthy weight. Obesity increases the risk for heart disease and stroke. But it harms more than just the heart and blood vessel system. It's also a major cause of gallstones, osteoarthritis and respiratory problems. Obesity is intimately intertwined with multiple health conditions that underlie cardiovascular disease including high blood pressure, diabetes, and abnormal blood cholesterol. In addition, weight gain is a frequent consequence of heart-damaging lifestyle choices such as lack of exercise and a fat-laden diet. Obesity also can lead to heart failure. This is a serious condition in which your heart can't pump enough blood to meet your body's needs.

Track 6: Cardio oncology

Cancer and cardiovascular disease are the leading causes of mortality in many parts of the world and Cardio-oncology is the intersection of heart conditions in patients who have been treated for cancer. There are several reasons for both diseases occurring in the same patient. Coronary artery disease (CAD) and Cancer share risk factors such as age, use of tobacco and obesity. Other reasons may be the consequences of radio- and chemo-therapy in long-term survivors of malignancy. These treatments have a direct impact on the heart, which require, in some cases, surgical correction. Malignancy can also occur during long-term follow-up after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG). The increase in diagnostic facilities makes the detection of heart disease and treatable cancer also more likely.

Track 8 : Interventional Cardiology

If your cardiologist asked you to undergo an angiogram to gather precise information about blockages in your arteries, then you will be seen by an interventional cardiologist who specialises in Interventional Cardiology. The branch of cardiology that deals specifically with the catheter based treatment of structural heart diseases is called Interventional Cardiology. Andreas Gruentzig is considered as father of interventional cardiology. By using interventional cardiology techniques a physician can find the specific problem within the heart.

Track 9 : Sports Cardiology

Sports Cardiology achieves heart screenings that detect potentially serious cardiovascular issues in young athletes. Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is the major reason of death in exercising young athletes, and is most commonly set off by problems as structural heart disorders or electrical circuitry issues which are not commonly found during routine physical examinations. Most of the conditions that cause sudden cardiac death in young athletes are evaluated by an electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG), a non-invasive test which calculates the electrical activity of the heart.

Track 12: Cardiac Regeneration

The regrowth of organs and tissues of the heart that are lost in an injury are called Cardiac Regeneration. This is in disparity to wound healing, which involves closing of the injury site by forming a scar. Few tissues like skin and large organs such as liver regrow quite readily, whilst others have been seen with little or no capacity of regeneration. Nevertheless in the present research, it suggests that particularly in the Lungs and heart, there is hope for a variety of organs and tissues will eventually develop and the capacity to regenerate.
